troybilt questions and or problems

hello,i am new here but it looks like its the place to be.i just bought a troybuilt horse and the best i can make out of the numbers on trans housing are 3j3335,it has a 105107f hh60 motor with electric start,it cranks fine but when you give it gas and put in gear it loses its rpm,is this a governor problem.i need a few parts for this unit and i dont know where to get them,could someone help me with what i have and where to get parts,i want to restore it like brand new.thanks dwstoy

You can get parts at any MTD dealer,as they now own Troybilt.for Tiller parts...The engine is a Tecumseh Heavy Horizontal "HH",6 hp,and it sounds as if the carb is gummed up and needs to be cleaned and/or rebuilt or Replaced ....BTW The HH engines were just about bullet proof,but don't let the engine run low on oil,and only use a good grade of 30 Wt HD oil. I had the same problem and it was because the main jet screw was too lean. There was also an accumulation of varnish on the jet.

Fully and gently seat the screw and back out 1 1/2 turns for a starting point. Mine is very touchy.
