need help installing ECHO rapid-loader

I have an Echo SRM-230. After I take off the spool and the spring I noticed that the main bolt has a slotted part at it's base. When I fit the rapid-loader on top, none of the adapters takes into account this notch. The spacer is too small to go over the notch.

I read through the instructions. There are instructions for other brands except ECHO. The "universal" head specifically states it is for all ECHo brands. What am I missing here?

Well, I eventually found the echo model instructions that fell on the floor. Unlike the other models, you are supposed to remove the entire head and put on the new one.
