Medium sized climbers?

I am looking for a medium sized climber. My requirements are blooms all season not just once. Good disease resistance. No Orange roses please. Fragrance is a plus but not a requirement. The arbor is white so maybe a white rose might not look good but if it meets all the requirements then I don't mind

If it's going up over an arbor, Don Jaun on fortuniana rootstock will fit the bill.

I can't speak to its disease resistance where you are, but Social Climber (medium pink) is one I use frequently here. It flowers all the time; remains within bounds easily and is loved by all in whose gardens I've planted it. Golden Showers is a large flowered yellow which also remains in bounds. Disease resistance for you is another unknown. Kim

Have you picked out a climber yet? If not, I can recommend Dublin Bay--bright red, about 10 ft tall, good disease-resistance, re-bloomer. And very sharp thorns!

Or try some of the Austins. I'm growing a new The Pilgrim which is lovely (light yellow) but rather slow starting, but it is supposed to have good disease-resistance. So is Teasing Georgia (yellow-apricot), but I haven't grown it so I can't say personally. I also planted Austin's Wildeve and The Wedgewood (light pink), but they are so young that I don't know how they will do, but I selected them, among other reasons, because they are supposed to have good disease-resistance.

I used to grow Viking Queen, which I liked, but she got RRD, as did Wildeve (see above).

Some names for you to look up in helpmefind.com.

i would recommend Iceberg. I had one years ago on a trellis, and it was easy care as well as constant bloomer. Here are a few pictures of this beauty.

Don Juan is beautiful but it gets BIG! For a more manageable sized climber I'd also recommend the Austins. Not all of them but many will grow to about 10 feet or so and they are lovely and smell wonderful. I have Golden Celebration and Graham Thomas and they both like to climb.

Social Climber is very pretty on a white arch. The neighbors one blooms most of the year. The out of focus pink rose in the background of this photo from moms yard is Social Climber

My BEST climber is 'White Cap'. Yes, the flowers are white, creamy white, but they are surrounded dark green, bulletproof-disease-resistant leaves. Fragrance, flower form, rebloom, etc., are superb.

I can recommend Teasing Georgia & James Galway (see pic). These were planted in April 2011 and look at them now. They are gorgeous. I counted the number of buds on one cane of TG - 19 soon-to-be flowers! This pic was taken last week & there are many more flowers now.

Another plus - they bloom until December, and come thru our NY winters like the champs they are. No winter dieback & all I do to protect them is throw some mulch around the base.
