Can anyone give me any information on Bolen string trimmers? are they any good as string trimmers go>

no, its a ryobi made with a bolens name if its the one at the home centers for about $80 or less. go with the echo. you will pay more but it will last a lifetime. hope this helps.

Well, I won't be as harsh, Good yes, the best no. MTD makes several for different name plates, ryobi, yard machines, featherlite, Mac, bolens, homelite, craftsman, some JD's, and I think entry level toro's are just a few. some AYP, echo, and stihl are considered Commerical quality. Any thing built to last 10 years is going to cost more. Quality usually cost at least three times more, so you have to weigh your useage vs cost.

I have a Bolen Trimmer. It starts and immeadiately stops. I have replaced the Primer Bulb and fuel lines. As I said, Starts and then stops like it loses its prime or something. What's wrong?
