Troy Built Bronco Problem - HELP

I bought a beautiful Troy Build Bronco and the fellow who sold it to me said it would start, but wouldn't keep running and all I had to do was replace a simple "spring" and it would be fine.

I CANNOT find a place for the spring - it does start and then immediately stops running - my nephew has taken it thing apart and cannot find where to replace a spring. Please help if you can.
