how to replace and or clean generators low-oil sensor

thanks to the guys here and a neighbor i am sure that the low oil sensor needs to be either replaced or cleaned. how do i go about removing the old one?

It is inside the crankcase so you need to remove the generator and the engine block cover. It is a time consuming job at best.

Sea Foam has direction on can for crankcase cleaning it work for me several times to free stuck oil wiper rings. Diesel fuel has cleaner action in crankcase at 1/4 volume of oil in crankcase. Run engine to burn one tank fuel are gas drain oil refill fresh oil it be clean even may have trouble seeing oil on dipstick so clean. This will not damage engine under normal load and can be run several different times on tank fuel.

on our Honda gennys it is in the crank case, on our el cheapo no name it mounts thru a hole in the CC. remove 2 screws and it slides right out!

it has two bolty/screwy things holding it on. will it just slide out if i unscrew those. will the oil gush out??

Drain the oil first.
