Need help naming a tree

This may be a long shot, but here goes!

I am looking for the name of a tree that is seen commonly along the road in South eastern PA and along New Jersey roads too. I have not seen it in any one's yard -yet!

It is a deciduous, flowering tree, has pale pink flowers in mid summer - the flowers are really small and the stamens are about an inch or so long -and look like a tiny brush. Several flowers are in a bunch. In fall there are seed pods that are about 6-7 inches long and an inch or so wide. It is a member of ceasalpinia family I believe.

All the trees I have seen have been no taller than most dog woods.

I tried looked at the arbor day org's web site but no luck.
