Wow, what an opportunity you have there! I'm not going, but I think we would all be most grateful if you could perhaps take - and post - pictures of the roses at this historically most important rosarium. They have so many cultivars that cannot be found elsewhere anymore. A true treasure trove.

I was there last year-it is a glorious place. You will be at the end of the once bloomers and the Hp's, climbers and shrubs and HT's will be coming into full glory. I do envy you.

I am pretty excited, even though my own garden is going to be at its peak while I am away :(. I will be taking pictures and will post some for sure...

If the opportunity arises, could you find out if they have a current list of cultivars in the gardens and if they are sharing budwood?

In the gift shop look for a copy of Rosenverzeichnis-it will list all the roses and if you can interpret the group(gruppe) Heiroglyphics it even tells you where they are-the beds all have group designations. My copy is from 2005 and there is supposed to be a new one coming out that list all the changes that will result from the new DNA work that was recently done...I would truely love to see if that is done yet...
