Agastache has always been an easy WSer for me. I've got "Blue fortune", "Golden Jubliee" and a white flowered that I do not know the name of. I start Wsing in late January/Early February - I need a bit of a break after the holidays to gear up!

Thank you both for your input. I usually WS in mid-February and I purchased some agastache seeds - I think it's "Golden Jubilee". Wish me luck! :-)

I also have good luck w/s agastache. I don't know the variety - it is white flowers.
It is fairly invasive tho.

This is my second time WSing them. I don't know what happened last year. I would like to know are they invasive? Because the pictures on the packages look like that wide spreaders? Are hummingbirds attracted to them? I had a little hummingbird last summer, but I had nothing that was tubular for him to eat. I'm trying to change that this summer.

lady---hummingbirds love agastache. They aren't invasive where I live.

What about Agastache scrophulariaefolia?

I got my seed from the above link. I wintersowed them in two liter soda bottles on Xmas day. By January 15th, I had TONS of sprouts. Just keep in mind, these can reach a height of 6 feet. (And oh how I hope they do!)

Mine (think it's blue fortune) re-seeds in my garden all on it's own.

Re invasiveness: agastache is in the mint family, but I have never found it to be that invasive.

My Agastache self seed vigorously if they like where they are. Though I have always grown the native species. They are also very easy to pull out any time during their first year of life. Hummingbirds love the nectar, and birds--especially finches--love the seeds. So, leave them standing all winter if you can.
