Wow.. rudbeckia and coneflowers are the last 2 of my perennials I haven't gotten around to sowing.. Every day something more pressing takes me from the sowing. :(

I don't think you have anything to worry about. If it looks like a really long term freeze coming. (like days on end) then you might want to add additional cover if the sprouts have developed further.
Its pretty unlikely that is going to happen where you are, right?

Melvalena, it is rare indeed to have a spell of days-on-end of severe freezes down here - if we have 3 nights in a row below 25, it is a bad cold wave these days! Not like when I was growing up in the 50s. Very few days do we have highs below 32.

Just found a packet of Thelesperma I need to set out. It is the first time I have tried these. I saw them in the J. L. Hudson catalog and had to try them!

I just went to peek at my un sprouted containers. Bellflowers are up, barely and I noticed that I have already sown the Echinacea! It was last week. :)

So I only have the rudbeckia, some herbs and a few local natives left to sow then its on to the annuals!

I think you are nearly out of the woods at your place.

Your Thelesperma should come right up since we're having such a mild winter this year, unless its one of those who need cold?
