I am thinking of replacing one of my Ficus trees that did not make it thru the winter with a BLACK fig tree.. Not sure, though, if fig trees can be purchased in the miniature.... regular.. or dwarf???

The idea is simply to replace the empty spot and not necessarily for shade. It wouild be about 9' from the side of the house.. Although not for shade, a tree replacement there would help shade an 8' X 8' glas block window... sun from the West here is horrible. I am assuming that 9' from the side of the house would be ample to preclude ROOT danger
