my blue rams and bolivian rams love the algae tablets I drop down for the clown loaches. The angels will peck at them too, after the regular fish food is gone.

IMO, I wouldn't worry as long as the other food is not being neglected and not eaten.

Fish should have a varied diet....so this is a good thing...just make sure your bottom feeders are getting some food too.

Ours eat them too, they seem to appreciate the change in diet. I feed our apple snail fresh veggies a time or two a week, the fish like to nibble on those too.

I let my algae eaters eat algae that grows, no supplements (wafers, tablets) except some sinking shrimp pellets for clown loaches. My pond snail population is very small and hardly noticeable, if at all. Alagae is minimal (just a little green spot algae on the glass after 2-3 weeks of not scraping), except some well lit areas on rocks and the filter return. I found that giving the sinking algae tablets to the mixed community, similar to yours, made the algae eaters a little lax at their job, eating algae. They get a flake or 2 by chance of any left over food, that is rare. The best nutrition for them IMO is a little "cultivated algae".
