A month or more ago I had 2 konjacs bloom at almost the same time & managed to polinate one with the other.

The donor was about volleyball size & reciever was about the size of a large grapefruit. The little flower was 28". Now it's about the size of a tangerine- Lots of energy went into those seeds!

Some look as if they're popping out of some sort of a 'skin'... Are they ripe?

This is my first seed head- From checking pictures I understand they turn orange / red when ripe... Right? I guess when they start falling off is the clue, but any guesses as to how long untill that happens?

ANd is it alright to plant the thing before the seeds ripen, like plant it now?
