Office nook wainscoting question

We are installing beadboard on the wall in our "office nook" - a wall that is 10' long and open to the living area. We plan to put in 2-3 base cabinets along this wall to support a desk top of some kind. My question: do we install the beadboard first, or do we install the cabinets and put the beadboard around the cabinets? Why?

Put another way, if we got cabinets with an open back, with option 1, you'd see the beadboard on the wall when you opened the cabinets. Option 2 would be bare wall. I'm not looking for preferences on aesthetics here, I'm looking for what is correct in order of operations for this type of installation. Thank you!!!
