Need design help in Des Moines, IA

I recently purchased my first home in Des Moines, IA. I am having trouble finding a design/decorator that is interested in helping me turn this house into MY home. I can only do one room at a time but most are not interested or charge too much and are not listening to my likes. Any ideas on who to contact?

If you are going to have a contractor do the work there are several companies that also do design as well, or have the experience to help you figure out what your taste are and make the house you purchased your home!
