I would do a simple orchid...or a bamboo but think that would take away from the sculpture. Good luck! Love the staircase.

I am not liking the wood sculpture on a wood table. All a bit dark. Maybe a glass table with the sculpture, or move the piece elsewhere and use a lamp on the table, as you have an outlet for one.

Maybe a "gazing" ball? Sort of like lefty's idea...

..or could a tall hurricane shade be nestled into the center, with the flameless candle in that?

Not sure that a plant would be the best decision. I am thinking that if you go with a larger table you could have a nice plant next to your sculpture. Not to compete with it, but to compliment it. A white orchid would look lovely.

If you have your heart set on a plant, a split-leaf philodendron would blend beautifully with the piece. It's large, shiny green leaves are striking and would fill the space with organic beauty. These plants require little light and are extremely resilient. A large plant can easily thrive in a relatively small pot for years. Just place the potted plant in the bowl of the sculpture. (When it needs watering, about twice a month, take it out of the bowl, to the sink.)

I don't think the sculpture should be used as a plant stand, but instead add a few other natural elements at its base to make an interesting grouping. Here are some examples, though not quite the same, they will give you an idea of what I mean. You could use coral, a rock, woven bowl/basket, metal bowl, pottery, or a plant. Good luck!

HI -- The glass orb I mentioned is just a big clear glass ball like a blown glass paperweight . I have a large crystal bowl full of them in several sizes . I was told by an Asian friend that it is very good to have one in your house entrance .

Maybe a large urn with something in it or orchids.

Maybe a snake plant or zz plant.

If you want a plant next to it, look for an air plant (tillandsia)..it can even stay inside the sculpture if you want or on a branch or a glass globe

Very unique sculpture! But looks hidden right there. Would you consider putting a long narrow table against the long wall right there. Lighter, possibly glass/metal so the wood of the sculpture gets the focus? You can then put interesting pottery/plant/lamp next to it.
