Thanks for the compliment! This hood was crafted according to my design sketch by Plato Woodwork, an excellent cabinet company. The edge detail is a raised band of polished nickel metal. The finish is a matte off-white paint to make the rest of the cabinetry that Plato built for this kitchen design.

I should also mention that the hood has a finished bottom, with a custom cutout for the baffled stainless hood insert. We specified that the electrician insert two additional LED puck lights for the left and right side, so that there was excellent illumination for cooking.
