Accessing dryer vent

I have front load wash/dryer with countertop. The laundry room is off of the garage. It is very difficult to pull the dryer out to clean out the vent due to the limited space. Has anyone ever installed an access panel from the garage to avoid pulling out the machine? Would it be a safety issue?

You could install an inline lint trap/cleanout that you can access and clean from the garage side, if the exhaust duct is accessible.

You can clean the vent from the outside of the the house and prevent lint build up in traps that can turn into a muddy lint with the humidity that comes out of your dryer.
In this case its much harder to get the lint out of the vent.
