BTW, my location is Jacksonville, Calhoun County.

I saw my first one on March 18th. I had put out a feeder a few days before. Now I have at least two fighting over it. I'm in Sylacauga.

DH and I saw our first male of the season March 13. I saw the first female last Monday. It is so great to have them back in the area. What excitment they bring.

I've got several males also, but no females seen as yet. They are a joy to watch, and so welcome since I know spring is officially here once they return. :)
Terramadre...my first digital was a Sony....got some great photos with it. I recently bought a Fuji with a built in 10x zoom and a 4.8 digital zoom also. I'm still learning how to use it, but hope to get lots of good closeups of hummers as well as other birds, etc.

Yesterday saw my first hummer trying out all the feeders.....it was a male. I live in Piedmont.

Gee, Paul, it took the scouts 7 days to travel 19 miles north?
Just kidding. The scouts are males, the females follow a week or two, three...later.

Yep...got several females now...been here a week or more.
Love those little buggers!! :)
