You just have to wait and see. My garlic rows used to get 4-inch-deep deer prints in them until I started covering them with arches made from wire fencing. The garlic always prevailed.

My kids have walked all over my garlic and its still doing fine.

My neighbor kids seem to always toss a basketball into my main garlic bed and it does fine.

I moved it last fall and they STILL end up needing to climb into it - over the rabbit fence - obviously needing to study more as a pro career does not seem to be in the works...

It deer walking on a garlic bed caused a crop failure, I would never have any garlic. Mine have always prevailed despite those @#%^& critters.
