The smaller ones are likely to be single clove "rounds" and waiting a bit for the larger plants to catch up to the rounds' earlier maturity shouldn't hurt a thing, just so long as you don't break off the stem and then lose where they were. The rounds are generally large enough to replace cloves of regularly bulbed garlic and often will do very well if planted back this fall for next spring/summer harvest.
