What species is shooting inside?

It is Phyllostachys aureosulcata aureocaulis. I had taken a small division from the grove last fall. For a while, it wasn't doing so well (I had it back from the window about 10ft), but after I moved it right in front of a west window, it came around.

I also have Phyllostachys aureosulcata in my grove outside. It was a division last spring from another local grove. The Phyllostachys aureosulcata aureocaulis was purchased 3 years ago from Bamboo Plantation.

I'm expecting a good shooting this year, as it was a very mild winter here. Just about anywhere I pull back the mulch in the grove, there are rhizomes criss-crossing the area!

Have you ever seen this many shoots came out all at the same time :)

Yes I have, last year another grove in my town had a bumpper crop like yours.

I hope to have the same results in a week or two with my grove!
