In your area winter care should be fairly easy. If you get long dry spells you may need to water, but only water if they are getting dry. Don't fertilize after early summer. This can create tender growth that will freeze back. If you are in an area with intense winter sun or severe winter winds you may want to protect them from the sun or wind with a burlap break. This is normally only a problem if the soil freezes. I am guessing your soil doesn't freeze solid very often.
