I have seen this Brazilian granite sold under the name Verde Vecchio, Greenpeace, Verde Karzai, and Golden Lightning, depending upon who is selling it and where they are located. It is generally a wonderful dark green with streaks of brilliant, almost neon lime green; sometimes it also has splotches of pure white (which some people don't like). The important thing is that it is a granite, even though it looks like marble, and that means that it is a great choice for a kitchen countertop.

So I guess palombara quartzite could be another name for this material. When I Googled palombara quartzite to check, though, the slabs appeared to be mostly white and dark green, with less of the beautiful, golden bright green color that I think of as distinctive to this material. Maybe it's just a question of which slabs you choose.
Anyway, thank you for the clarification, A & G Marble. I know that most of the countertop material we call "granite" isn't really granite at all.
