I was hoping someone would answer. The pictures I've seen were as you say beautiful, but the one plant I saw was puny and definitely struggling. Don't know whether that means it's difficult or just that the grower was having problems (which I know he was--he was very sick.) Didn't inspire me to get one, tho' I keep being tempted. Hope somebody has it!

It's that darn Logee's catalog tempting me with their ridiculously lovely photos! I hate to spend the cash until I know if it is a finicky one. If someone doesn't answer, I will probably wind up just getting it. I am hopeless for pink leaves!

If you get it let us know how it does, please! I've been tempted many times--but then, there are so many I'm tempted by, and I have limited space, and energy--I'm finally at the time where the energy runs out before the money does!

I happen to work at that wonderful place...and yes it's tempting...took the job for the discount!! Midnight sun can be a bit finicky...let it dry well between waterings, transplant into clay, and don't crowd it in too closly to other plants...need some circulation of air. They can get quit large too. We have one that is about 2.5'high and wide. SOOO beautiful though...worth a chance. If you loose it just call them and it will be replaced...good luck!!

Thanks for the update! I assume you mean transplant into a clay pot, not clay soil, hmm? I may have to wait for spring now--I'm having an awful time fitting everything that does so well outdoors for all but about three or four months into my not very large house and really small greenhouse. And so much more to do before it does actually get what passes for cold in a month or so! Thought I was starting early----
