Was that Santa Barbara cycad grower Jeff C.? I heard he lost a lot of material in the fire there last year. It's too bad. I was up to his place a few years ago and bought some seedling cycads. He had a very nice layout and many great cycads. Jack

Yep, you are right that is the place. I had trouble walking on the brick path, but for my age, I did great.

The cat got out before I left
I left my purse at the second nursery, so we had to back track, I only found a few plants to buy, I got lost, and had to picked up at the gas station on my way there, so I could follow him to his house, I couldn't open my car door when we finally got home, and had to drive 30 miles in the dark on a freeway that I was not familar with. Other then that we had a great day, my friend took over the driving after I reached his house, he drove to Santa Barbara, he was one of my friends named John, Ha ha ha and at my age, his wife had the day off and I was invited to go along with him, he knows that I'm always game to see new nurseries. I only purchased one Crassula 'Jade' that I already had, and 2 San. Hahnii varieties, that don't have names, one is green with wide white edges, the other is light striated green middle butter color bands then like the mother plant bands of S. trifasiata on the borders, each has an offset, but probably will not look like the mother plant, and each offset will be different. I had fun looking for them. These may not be named plants already. Oh well, more research but I nothing else to do with but pull weeds this week. Good night all, Norma
