Hardware for Cabinets?

I'm finishing 2 custom furniture pieces for a client and we have bronze cup pulls selected for the drawer fronts. She has 8 drawers and a door between the 2 pieces. The cup pulls with label holders she selected are actually working great as a perfect fit for the small 4 drawers on the right lower part of piece 1, but the rest of the hardware looks pretty wimpy against the cabinets. I was thinking I could intentionally overwhelm the pieces with long triple pairings of hardware on the (large) top drawers and then simplify it lower on the pieces? I'm almost done with this build and am now stuck. Thanks for the help. I'm up for any suggestions on hardware at this point.

What about stacking the hardware, like on ths piece?

Being that this is a stand alone piece, you can go with chrome pulls or hidden pulls from Richelieu. If you want to retain the earthy industrial look, stay with the ROB pulls, and I also agree with stacking the pulls as on Restorations Hardware piece.

Hi, That is a lovely piece, it will be sad to see label holders, could she just leave them off and then you could make or buy the same holder that would have clear space for a printed name
If possible you could introduce another wood strips to hold the labels, that might solve both problems. Although personally I like it the way it is.

Have you tried looking at Anthropolgie for knobs or pulls?

It sounds like what you currently have may take away from the beauty of the piece.. Don't do anything too overbearing that will take away from your work!

how about the type of pulls that attach over the top of the drawer and stick out as a flat plane? not visually obtrusive, yet functional...in all colors

Thanks so much. The clients now says she wants to go with a non-symetrical look and she wants to keep the label holders on the lower cabinets. I love the idea of flat pane handles. I am looking through Richielieu now.

i use low profile small wooden knobs stained or whatever finish to match the piece. the best solution is to match the material. lots of hardware destroys many a fine piece and i avoid it when allowed. unless you are using very pricey stuff, a lot of the handles out there are junk. having said that, whitechapel,ltd of jackson hole,wy has an extraordinary collection but you will pay.
