Need help with living room!

We are renting in Thailand for the next three years, and I need to pick colors and fabrics! I prefer a tranquil neutral feeling, and I would like to have as much light as possible. Any suggestions for wall color, curtain patterns/colors or furniture appreciated!!

I love all of your ideas! Thank you. I'm going to work on picking up the furniture this week. I am going to hold off on painting, and add color through the furniture/accessories.

I love the view in the living room and want to keep the windows open. I am struggling with the curtains though. I don't love them, and would just take them down if I wasn't worried about privacy at night.

Walls same, drapes same but remove tassels, see photo for furniture placement. 2 sofas in natural color linen, 2 interesting statement lamps, 2 wooden arm chairs in same linen.

What a perfect view! I like the idea of British Colonial decor for your lovely room with neutral upholstery, cane back occasional chairs, warm woods and global accessories.

The view out the windows is such a nice backdrop, I would keep the color palette neutral with some patterns.

Leave the curtains as apart from the privacy issue you might be glad of them when the bad weather is around. Would lower the tie backs as they are too high. and draw you eye to the curtains. Perhaps think about putting a mirror between the two windows or a great painting. Lovely room and wonderful windows.
