I Need Plant Suggestions For Hot Wall

Greetings,

I"m so excited to have discovered this site! Best garden site I've come across yet. :-)

Now that I'm here, I'm wondering if anyone might have any suggestions, for a difficult design situation. I'm creataing a garden for my friend, and I'm seeking suggestions for plants that will tolerate growing against hot and sunny, south and west facing, light colored stucco/concrete walls. The soil is amended clay. My friend is open to either drought tolerant, or average water use type plants (one or the other, obviously!). We are hoping to plant perennials as oppossed to shrubs. Particularly interested in plants with medium-large leaves (but open to all). Color choice is open.

Does anyone out there know of some good plants choices, or have any input regarding where I might find this type of info?

Thanks so very much!

Yvonne
