I'm in the same boat as you, mine is 4 years old and every large, pot bound, in bright light, all I get is new growth no blooms. I hope some one can help. wouldn't it be nice to get blooms.

What temperature regimen are you following for your plants? I am wondering if letting it get pretty cool might spur flower formation - I have no experience with this plant so it's a wild guess.

I have a rick rack that blooms every summer. It usually has something like 30 blooms, and sets fruit on 5 or 6 of them.
It is probably 10-12 years old and in the same pot for several years. I put it out in the yard in about May and it stays there until maybe October. My yard has several trees and is rather shady; the plant bright gets morning light though.
I use diluted fertilizer every time it is watered.

Thanks for the advice...I have just used diluted fertilizer twice so I will start using it every time now... as I live in zone 9 it stays out all winter and doesn't seem to mind it. Thanks again

Just be careful with the fertilizer. You may want to read the exchange on the houseplant forum entitled "Another question about fertilizer schedules" for some advice about using fertilizers.

I do not have that exact plant, but I do have a plant that rarely blooms, and sometimes using to much fertilizer is no good,in my experince. I have never used any type of fertilizer on this exact plant and surprisingly, for the first time in a few years it bloomed twice in one year. Sometimes it is just a matter of luck, just treat it nicely, dont cut, and remove dead leaves especially.
