All very nice! I have C. chek. but it's still too young to bloom. Maybe after this milder winter it will finally start to take off. Does it have a more spreading, weaping form?

I've got to find some room in my garden for C. sinensis somewhere. Those are very large leaves!

Yes, all outdoors. I've planted mine in mostly shaded conditions- all will benefit from winter, early morning, shade. Chekiangoleosa is indeed quite spreading and weeping- although it does have a leader (the top two feet are just a small upright stem). I expect it to get tall eventually. Should be very pretty when you can look up to the flowers.

I have noticed that the biggest leaves appear near the bottom part of my sinensis. They are usually 3" long or more but a few are 4.5".

We had a light snow sprinkle forecast for tonight. I don't think it's going to happen unfortunately. That's usually how chekiangoleosa times its blooming where I'm at though. Every year it has bloomed just in time for the last snow of the season.

Nice pics! Perfect color for valentines day, but some camellias shatter the minute you cut them. Have you tried the chekiangoleosa as a cut flower?
