Go Succulents

I am wondering whether or not anyone on this forum has had experience with subject vendor. I ordered eighty dollars worth of plants from them, credit card was billed on April 2, received notice that plants had been sent, then received an email telling me that DHL had a package that was undeliverable because of a wrong address.(malware) Have seen or heard nothing since. I get no response to the many emails I have sent to subject vendor. When trying to place a phone call, I get the notice that his phone mailbox is full, try later. Have tried many times, same answer.I can't seem to contact Don to inquire whether he placed the right address on the package or not. If illness is involved, I can forgive the delay. I do get somewhat peeved at being ignored. Hopefully, I am not going to be out eighty dollars. Oh, and by the way, I tried to open the attachment on the delivery notice, and thankfully my mail service wouldn't let me open it. It contained two trojans. If anyone has knowledge of the vendor, how to contact them, I would appreciate the information. Anyone?

Thanks for any help offered

    hi Gary,

i have purchased from GoSucculent before, it was a few years ago. i had a good experience overall. i actually met Don Nuzzo because i'm in LA and they are down near Escondido and i didn't want to pay for shipping, so we thought we'd make it a nice day trip down there on a saturday. i met Don in a parking lot and he gave me the plants. i still have many of those plants today. he seemed to be a stand up guy. was really passionate about succulents. i have an old phone number for him. i'm sure yours is more recent and accurate.

what you described does seem very shady to me, though. sorry i couldn't have been more help. but i did just want to contribute that i had a good experience with them.

    good luck!
    Bri.

I just recieved an order from them the early part of April. They had very nice plants and the communication was good.

I thank all for the positive replies. Checking comments on another forum, all of the many replies except one were positive. I can't help but think that maybe a screwdriver accidently fell into the nursery machinery, disabling it or some other malady struck. Oh well, I haven't had much luck with succulents anyway. Perhaps this just keeps me from contributing to the demise of a few more plants. Again thanks for your replies.

I received the following reply from GoSucculents today.

"Gary - I am sorry about the delay. My husband passed away on April 15th. I am attempting to transfer his business to Daniels Nursery."

As you can well imagine, I am very saddened to receive this news. Prior to submitting my order, Don was very helpful in helping me solve a problem with one of the few succulents I have been able to keep. I now regret my impatience.

Oh, wow! Sorry to hear of Don's passing. Just goes to show, you never know! I understand that a few years back he took over the mail order biz that Daniel's Nursery had been doing. Once Daniel lost his employee who ran the place, he had made some arrangement with Don. Good luck with your plant order.

Ohmygosh! I am so sorry to hear of Don! I had a beautiful order and good communication with him 3 or 4 months ago.
I hope you get your order.
