It reminded to one of Nuccio's, Guillo(sp?) Nuccio Variegated. But you could go to the place where you purchased it and ask for a list of camellias by name/variety that they have ordered during the last 12 months. If it was mislabeled at the local nursery, you may be able to "find it" that way. But if it was mislabeled at the wholesaler, you may need to get a name list from the wholesaler.

you are very correct....it does appear to be similar to 'guilio nuccio'. im growing that japonica, but what you cant tell from the picture is the foliage.....its a reticulata type leaf being large and textured.

i have also attempted to look up the wholesale company online. it originally came from deans camellias in lucedale MS, but they dont have any similar camellia listed that i can see on their website. they have seemed to move to growing more southern magnolia varieties. i have had it for severeal years. it was a small 1 gal when i bought it. its just now getting some size to produce the blooms.
