Oh... this canna is 'The President' and the pictures on the box and on the web all have one toned green leaves.

I think it is too early to tell. There can be many factors that affect the first few leaves.

I would definitely keep it isolated from any other cannas you may have. If you don't have other cannas, don't worry right now.

Post some pictures later as it grows.

Okay... second leaf opened up on the above plant. Looks better, but still not completely green. Anything to worry about yet?
