Ha! I am having the SAME problem! Wish I could help!

I have a multi-trunk pomegranate tree and I tied a couple of drooping trunks to trunks that were more upright! So far, so good. The tree has a definite fountain shape which is what I like about the tree. I would also be good to take some growth off of the tops of the bending trunks so that they won't be so heavy. If all else fails, call in a professional tree pruner. They work wonders! Good luck and happy fruiting! . . . Kathy

Well, if it helps, I pruned mine about a month ago. It had no ill effect on it either... I have a multitrunked baby, well, teenager more like that Im trying to tree-train into a multi-trunk founatin like tree. There are 4 main branches coming out of the ground. And like you guys, one is starting to hang downward, but its got some beautiful red blooms that I dont want to cut it.

This is a pretty hardy tree, so I dont think you can hurt it much if you prune a little now. But I would suggest that if you do, the trees been in the ground for about 2 years so you know its established. When I first planted mine, I did prune a few months after and it did kind of affect it. I thought it had died.
