kathy, your Mrs. Chambers is without a doubt Gorgeous! And a very good flush of blooms I might say.In 2004 I recieved my first one (Dr. Suess) from a friend & neighbor.Since then I have developed an addiction, I call the BBA. Buying Brug Addiction. I am now the proud mother and caretaker of 22 and the list will undoubtly get added onto.My next purchase will be "Earth Angel" and "New Orleans Lady". And they are all potted,I'm going to have to also have "that 3rd greenhouse" LOL!!!Enjoy ***Suzanne

    Hey Suzanne,

Thanks for your reply! "BBA"--LOL! I believe I'm headed there too. :)
I'd love to see photos of your Brugs. Is there one in particular that is the "best" in your opinion? I have a White Suaveolens (sp?) that has not yet bloomed and just doesn't look as happy as Mrs. Chambers. They are both potted--20 gallon pots--and both receive the same care/light so I'm not sure what might be wrong with the white Brug. I don't know which one (or 2) I want to have next and would appreciate any suggestions.
Also, any tips for overwintering them would be extremely helpful.
Again, thanks! Have a great day!

kathy, I must admit that 18 of them are new this year and growing fast. There are (2) of them that I am very anxious to see come to bloom and thats "The Painted Lady & Miss Emily Mckenzie". They are about 4 1/2 feet tall now and have "Y"ed already an my day consists of searching for the show of buds! LOL! But I'm sure I'll love them all.I do have buds on Tequlia Sunrize,Flirtation,Flamenco, and my Frosty has put out 2 beautiful flowers already and my Dr. Seuss is ready to open probably today. With this many it's like a full time job. LOL! I've gotten so excited, I even have a magnifying glass so search for the elusive buds coming. LOL! I will post some pictures when they start to flush. I have 18 of them on my deck around the pool.I do haul them back into the greenhouse to winter over though.Yes Mam, this has become an obsession.LOL! **Suzanne

Well,All i can say is have fun.My obsession with these plants started back in 1999.It started with a few plants. As soon As I got One Bloom,I Was hooked.BBA-LOL.My brug addiction has progressed along predictable lines...Keeping my Brugs In the house over the winter..Keeping A dozen in the crawlspace over the winter..And I ended up building them their own Winter "Haven",a heated Climate controled Greenhouse.Spent Quite a bit of $ and time on this...Now I've got about 40 varieties,With about 55 Planted out in yard this season! My money now goes into fertilizer, and my time babying these Awesome Plants!Even when totally neglected, these plants thrive, but i like to nurture them(Maybe obsessively) to get the largest plants, and earliest blooms...This forum site is my "support group" for this addiction.

In the meantime they are like eye-candy thats good for the soul. And I love sitting out amongest them in the evenings and taking in their gift to me of fragrance:)Ahhhhhhhh***Suzanne
