I'm sticking my head out of my closet again, partly to announce and partly to say thank you.

My prelim exam (aka thesis proposal) for my phd was today -- and I passed!!! So now I will hopefully be able to spend more time in my garden & my indoor "nursery" (seed flats ;). I'm pretty excited...

And for the last week or two, I've been doing a lot of (moderately painful) data analysis. It has been really encouraging not only to go peek at my germinating seeds but also to peek on GW. I loved the "guess what's growing!" and such posts -- exactly what I was thinking. : )
