My small Boophanes started their summer dormancy and are all leafless now. The biggis still have their leaves and will turn down in 2 - 4 weeks.

I was under the impression that boophane disticha is a summer grower. Growing in northern michigan in the winter may be a problem. Although I do have a great south window that gets sun all day in the winter. I guess that I shouldn't water at all while it is leafless? Will the leaves start to pop towards winter without water? I'm in panic mode now, I thought I knew this plant pretty well, guess not. Please help.

Sorry, I don't know when and how Boophane disticha is growing in northern Michigan.
Here in SoCal it sheds its leaves in June/July, is flowering in August and leafs out again in September pushing off the dried inflorescence with the seeds in it. The leaves grow in length and number all 'winter' long.
