It's coral honeysuckle- lonicera sempervirens. It's a very nice native plant that will bloom on & off all summer on through til heavy frost, then start again with a heavy flush early in spring. Hummingbirds absolutely adore it. No fragrance, unfortunately. Give it some support- it wants to climb.

Thanks for the info! Some of the buds are blooming now. They are bright purple-pink on the outside and a pretty yellow on the inside. It's gorgeous! I love it and am happy to hear that hummingbirds like it because it is about 4 feet away from the huge hummingbird/butterfly garden I have started, all mostly from seed except the butterfly bushes. Most awesome! :)

if it's that coloration it's not coral honeysuckle, but rather gold flame honeysuckle (the buds look similar when small). Another nice native, and in fact, it's the flower they show on the top @ the GW carolina forums! They are nearly as fragrant as the jap variety, aren't invasive and hummers still love them as you've found (tho not as much as coral). Great plant.
