Alternathera 'Party Time' or 'Party Girl' I can't remember which. There is a white and green version also, with "party" in its name.

Alternathera, Dendranthema and Iresene are tropicals that are evidently easy to breed in unnatural colors.

I think this group of plants has more to offer than Coleus. They grow quickly and overwinter inside or in a hoophouse with ease.

Oh yeah - it roots just like Coleus. A lot of them are lanky so you have to pinch them all the time and grow them in full sun to keep them compact.

Yes, trianglejohn, it's Alternanthera 'Partytime'. I'm surprised to find someone that likes Joseph's coat more than coleus! The latter has so (SO) much diversity in leaf color and shape.

I always find Josephs coat to get too leggy or look scraggly even in full sun with the sprawling stems, even in containers spilling over the edges.
