Good morning,
I've been a member for a long time, but haven't posted in a while and couldn't for the life of me recall the user name password information, so I had to create a new profile.

Anyhooooo, when we first moved into our house in Clayton, NC, there were about five plants on the lot. It was a clay wasteland. So money being tight, I could only plant a few items a year and even though I knew it wasn't a good idea to plant my lantanas so close together, it was a necessary evil at the time. So fast forward 8 years and now those tiny 1 QT shrubs are now pretty large (4 ft or so) and crowding each other. And I planted them right along the drive way, so when they are in full bloom, hubby is constantly having to eek out his door to not destroy the shrubs.

Long story, not short, I need to move two of these guys. Right now they are only starting to leaf out at the very base of the plant, but they have large, circa 3-4 ft spread of twigs. Do I trim back the old growth before transplanting them, or try and leave them as is?
