Indoor plant question - Split leaf Philodendrons (dendra?)

Hi, everyone

I recently bought 2 large split-leaf Philos because they didn't need much light but it's all relative. I was advised by the indoor plant guy at my wonderful, local nursery, that a florescent bulb in a regular lamp would do as well as a gro-light. One plant is doing great that way but I need a portable, battery-operated lamp for the other or the cord will be in the way, functionally and aesthetically. The portable, battery-operated lamps seem to all be LED. Will this suffice for light nourishment in place of a florescent bulb, or starve it with fakery?
