Right on the main road ( hwy 17) inbetween Hubert and Swansboro is a kinda small...but still very interesting little trail/wildlife area with many species of trees and shrubs that are marked with identification.

I used to go there and walk everyday when I was preggers with my first born.
Man..that was a long time ago too...96. lol You might want to check on that and see if it's still there if you are interested.

Thank you, cannadoit. I'm back home now, but I did find a couple of interesting nurseries. One was especially nice. I think it was called Carolina nursery, on highway 24.

I'm very curious to know how good old Jacksonville has grown since I lived there.
My ex-husband got out of the Marines in 98.

I have really wanted to take my boys there to see what it was like there.....but, if it's only strip clubs, pawn shops and places to get haircuts like it used to be....I can take them to Bragg and pretend. lol
