Grafting

I am happy to say that I have successfully grafted about a dozen of the slow growing, difficult, miniature cacti. They were about the size of a little finger nail and have tripled in size in about one month that they have been grafted. I used almost pencil thin Selenicereus grandiflorus for the stock plant. After all of these nice plants that I have growing, I am very concerned that the stock plant with not grow larger and will be unable to support the scion. Does anyone have any good or bad information for me?
