Congratulations! And here's hoping it will help out some of those nurseries. Things have been slow since the economy tanked. I went to the Orange Co. artists tour last weekend, and several of those people said visitations were down.

My husband and I just got back from First Friday Art Walk in Greensboro. Some friends of ours invited us to go over there.

I just started a Gardens in Art series in my blog to feature NC artists. The first post appeared yesterday as a tribute to a late Chapel Hill artist who passed away this year. I'm going to try to post one article a week to highlight an artist whose work includes inspiration from gardens (flowers or veggie) and garden art (sculpture and such).

Since my blog gets over 4,000 visits a month, I'm trying to do what I can to promote our local artists, gardeners, public gardens and events. I'm going to be posting an article soon on bees, with information from a friend who is a beekeeper. When the articles get republished in other local or national news, then it at least brings awareness to our state and our talented folks.
