What am I doing wrong. I am growing about 12-15 different Thai Euphorbias, the huge flowering 'Crown Of Thorns' plants. But 1 variety grows so tall, I have had to top it off a couple of times already. And rooted the cuttings in the ground, the stems on this one are super thick, over 5 in around, and the thorns are like spikes!! But they are not sprouting out any side shoots where I have cut them.
Don't they send out side shoot at the cut point? Or is it because of their 'DNA', they just don't send out any side shoots, and once you make a cut, it just stops growing on that stem??? I am stumped...and the plant looks horrible now. But it is so tall,...it was over 5 feet tall and falling over, so I had to top it off. So, will I EVER get side stems, or should the stems to ground level?
