I haven't a clue as to what it is but it sure is nice looking. It appears to be a type II to me but someone else might can do a better job of IDing it. Just realize that sometimes the size and coloration of clematis tepals can vary in blooms that you get in the fall or even early in the spring compared to what you normally get when the plant blooms at its normal time.

I have no clue but agree that it is likely a type II. There are quite a few with a dark pink/plum bar down the center of the tepals.

I have one that looks very similiar and have been trying to identify it. I have photos of it, but dont know how to post. Blooms are huge. It came from another home 14 years ago and has bloomed steadily. I seem to recall that its name started with a "C". It may be Mrs. Cholmondeley, that sounds familiar. However, I looked at a photo of HF Young, and that looks similiar too. Whatever mine is, it is a good one. Look up those two and compare and see what you think.
