Adenium cutting/rescue?

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I rescued an Adenium from walmart for 3 dollars with a lot of rot, now, maybe about a month later, after chopping away all the rot and repotting into a good mix, it is starting to leaf out great and I'm thrilled!

When I bought that adenium a nice saleswomen told me to just take another one they had where most of the trunk was rotten and it had no leaves. She said maybe I could rescue it like I was planning for the other one, otherwise it was garbage. So I took it too.

After a couple attempts and cutting out rot without chopping off most of the trunk, I gave in and did a straight chop across, getting rid of all of the rot. I have it sitting on top of straight perlite.. it is making a very cute attempt at poking out a couple of small, weak looking leaves, and I am wondering what I can do for it from here?

Thanks in advance for all advice!
