Very nice!
How tall? Is it a display bench for plants, a potting bench...or both?

Josh

Very nice. I've been wanting to build a bench for some time. Now, I just have to find the free time.......

Classic potting bench, Howard. Nice job on it - are you painting, staining or neither (I've been itching to try linseed oil on more than just wooden yard tool handles)? I've been meaning to make the same, too. Did you Google the plans?

Thanks for the comments. Josh, it's 37", which is a comfortable height for working. I built it as a potting bench.

Jeff, it's made with treated wood and I don't plan on leaving it outside so I am not treating it with anything but linseed oil would be great, especially, if I had gone to the expense for using cedar or redwood and using it on a patio or similar area. I found the plans on the internet (see above).

Very nice BORED (board) project, Howard! :P

Oh, nice! I was wanting one of these this week but I'm not good at carpentry so I found a baker's rack on sale for $10 instead; just unloaded it from the car.

Always depend on you, Rosemarie to put a smile on this old face...thaks

Nice work! What did it cost?

Nice job. I have a pile of chopped up fir 4 X 4's for a rolling plant stand waiting for me to be "Board". I have a bunch of nice 5" casters for it.

Keith, the project cost about $80.00. I had one 4" x 4" x 8'. I used a nail gun and had the nails. The legs are screwed to the horizontal tables with #12 x 1 3/4" screws and countersunk. The picture shows how the legs were cut to accept the tables and the boards for the tables were cut to lap joint so "stuff" doesn't fall through the cracks. Some areas of the country sell tongue and groove treated wood and lap joint wood so you don't have to do all this work; I'm not lucky. Of course, these are things I like to do and have some of the tools to do it. There are other ways to build this project and have it be your special creation. Just as I would love to be able to create ceramic work as nice as yours, Keith... just as a hobby!

It is all about the details. Here's to making treated sawdust.

I love it!! Great job bikerdoc! When you visit FL and you're bored I have a nice little project for you :o)
