The sales started out very slow for the first 3 Farmers' Markets, until the fourth when we almost doubled the number of bouquets and sale of stems. Hopefully that will continue

Well, I think I would be doing really well... if I had anything to sell! I'm having a terrible season here. 90 degrees in April, rain for weeks on end, drought for weeks on end, voles, slugs, deer... sheesh.

Doubly disappointing because I started a new market where I did quite well last year and was starting to build up a regular clientele. This year I'm offering more apologies than flowers!

Well, that's life in the garden, I guess. There's always next year!

Overall, I've noticed a decline the last year or so. This year, once we got some rain after a slow (wet) start and then no rain, my production picked up but sales didn't respond most weeks. I kept the prices the same as last 2 years, so am sure some of this is a money situation.
